What is a Leia’s Kids Mental Health Retreat, and Why Should I Go?
Leia’s Kids Mental Health Retreat is a life-changing experience designed to forever impact the quality of life for young fighters and survivors of childhood cancer. This retreat focuses on more than just surviving—it empowers attendees to thrive.
We understand the mental and emotional toll that comes with fighting cancer at a young age. Our retreat helps young survivors process what they’ve been through, addressing the trauma, emotions, and challenges they may still face. By doing so, we help them move forward and embrace the life-giving mission they’ve been called to, with strength and purpose.
The world around us is constantly changing—for better or for worse—and it can feel overwhelming to navigate everything happening. Even though society has made progress in discussing mental health, it’s still hard to know where to start when it comes to taking care of your own well-being.
Leia’s Kids acts as a bridge for the adolescent and young adult (AYA) community, helping you take the next steps toward healing, growth, and a thriving future.
Why should you attend?
- Gain tools and strategies to improve your mental well-being.
- Build lifelong friendships with others who understand your journey.
- Take time to focus on your healing in a safe, supportive space.
- Learn how to thrive, not just survive, in life after cancer.
“I am a four-time cancer survivor and this retreat could not have come at a better time. The experience to connect with girls my age with similar medical struggles was more healing than I could have ever imagined or than any medication could be.”
