On the evening of September 30, 2018, Leia’s Kids donated to Mara Keenen during their 4th ‘Crown A Kid event. Mara is five years old and battling Leukemia. Mara receives weekly chemotherapy treatments and travels for appointments. Mara is a lively little girl, she’s talkative, loves to be with her two siblings and enjoys having a good time. She has been battling childhood cancer since April of 2018. Mara has good days and bad days, but her and her family remains strong. Leia’s Kids donated to her and her family a $1,000 donation.

“Leia’s Kids is the link between the community and children battling childhood cancer. So we do two things, we raise awareness, but we also want to spread hope and be someone for these families, that are going through such a hard time, to lean on,” said Hunt.
